Yes, as mentioned elsewhere, this main story arc is coming to a close. There won't be much more left of this. For those of you looking at the November 2, 2006 installment, and wondering about the lack of action, I'll make it a point to tell you that we won't be having another one just like this - there can't be, this is coming to a close soon.

I'm not sure exactly how long it will take me to wrap up the story, but I'd be surprised if it takes too much longer. I'm laying the groundwork for my next webcomic, and I hope to be able to hit the ground running with that as soon as I wrap up this one.

I really hope to have on-time-or-early posting times for this one for the remainder of it.

I had chosen a forum for this instead of a blog because I thought I'd get less spam, and I have. In fact, I thought that perhaps I'd get no spam, but alas, this has not proven to be the case.

If you have loved ones or friends that have survived breast cancer, its time for celebration. Your friend or loved one has been through a very stressful time and lots of procedures. And no matter which procedure they had, they must be emotionally and physically drained.

Its time to let them know you are celebrating with them and will do whatever it takes to make them feel whole again.

One of the best gifts you can offer is the gift of yourself: be there for then when they are happy and energetic, as well as when they feel tired and lonely.

Here are a few ideas for those times full of optimism and stamina:

- go together for a shopping trip, and buy a little something that will make your friend feel beautiful
- have a cup of coffee together at a coffee shop, away from home
- take walk in the park to enjoy nature again: a cool breeze of fresh air, the nice colors of fall, and even the kids playing on the swing sets

For those days when your friend is tired and doesnt feel like doing much, give her one of the following gifts:

- a nice book to read
- a music CD/DVD
- a journal, so she can jot down her feelings
- a spa gift certificate: getting a massage not only feels good, but it helps the mind and body to concentrate on healing and reduces stress. If you can, give her the gift of a monthly massage that will rejuvenate her month after month.

And dont forget to give yourself a gift too: the gift of health. Make sure you take care of your own body, by living a healthy life, resting and eating nourishing food. And get a mammogram this year: be pro-active!

Don't forget to remind all your friends about the importance of monthly breast self-exams.

This very long day had some medical, personal, and vocational components all make for something that together contributed to a far later posting of this web comic installment than I wanted it to be, however, with it being only about an hour and a half later than my target, I'm hoping I need not feel too bad about it.

At any rate, please do enjoy this final few installments. There's not much I can do in this world after the world ends. Another world will likely mean another webcomic. I'll post an announcement about it here when that time comes.

Alas, an unintended nap ran longer than expected. Given how this was a long day, I'm glad I managed to get this update in without it being any later than it was. I'll do what I can to prevent this from being a problem in the future, but unfortunately Thursdays are shaping up to be long days for at least a while.
